Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu announced that his government has invested Rs 51,000 crore in welfare pensions over the past 18 months. Speaking at a public event in Eluru district, he outlined plans to allocate Rs 1.6 lakh crore to the NTR Bharosa scheme over five years.

Naidu emphasized unparalleled welfare efforts, noting that 63 lakh beneficiaries, predominantly women, are supported through the scheme. Additionally, he highlighted the success of the Stree Shakti free bus travel initiative, with 25 crore free journeys financed by Rs 855 crore to the state transport corporation.

Focusing on future development, Naidu promised the completion of key projects like the Chintalapudi Lift Irrigation and Polavaram project. He urged farmers to adopt modern technology and attract food processing industries to Eluru, aiming to fulfill the Swarna Andhra-2047 vision.
