Amid ongoing disruptions, BJP MP Jagdambika Pal has implored the government to provide resolution for the turmoil plaguing IndiGo's flight schedules nationwide. The cancellations, he claimed, have left Members of Parliament and countless other travelers in a lurch.
Speaking during Zero Hour in the Lok Sabha, Pal highlighted the widespread inconvenience caused by the sudden wave of flight cancellations. The impact has been significant, with many lawmakers unable to fulfill commitments in their home constituencies over weekends.
The disruptions arose after new flight-duty time restrictions for pilots and crew were implemented by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation. Pal argued that the burden of these changes unfairly affects passengers without clear accountability, urging the civil aviation ministry to ensure better management and provide alternatives for those left stranded.
