India and Russia: Joining Forces for Global Innovation and Prosperity

On Friday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi highlighted India's emergence as a global skilled capital, emphasizing its young talent's capability to meet global requirements. In a significant address at the India-Russia Business Forum, Modi outlined a collaborative vision with Russia, focusing on innovation, co-production, and co-creation to address global challenges.
Modi extended an invitation to Russian businesses, encouraging them to 'Come, Make in India, Partner with India.' He underscored the mutual benefits, particularly in training Indian talent in Russian language and soft skills, contributing to both nations' shared prosperity. Important decisions on tourist visas aim to boost tourism and business opportunities.
With a focus on global humanity's well-being, Modi reiterated the need for sustainable solutions and poised India as ready to work closely with Russia. The Prime Minister also highlighted India's prowess in pharmaceuticals, offering collaboration in vaccine development and healthcare. Opportunities in textiles, EV manufacturing, and other industries were also showcased.
Modi announced new opportunities in defense, space, and upcoming civil-nuclear sector reforms, marking a shift beyond administrative changes to mindset reforms aiming at India's development. Collaborative logistics solutions through corridors such as the INSTC and virtual trade routes promise to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and open new markets.
Expressing gratitude towards President Putin's engagement and large delegate presence, Modi emphasized mutual trust as the cornerstone of India-Russia relations. Discussions on a Free Trade Agreement with the Eurasian Economic Union also commenced, highlighting a strong partnership based on trust and joint efforts for mutual advancement.
