At least 14 domestic flights operated by IndiGo from Goa's Dabolim airport were canceled on Saturday, leading to significant disruption in the airline's operations, according to a senior official.
Hundreds of passengers found themselves stranded outside the Dabolim airport, which is situated in South Goa, as some of the cancellations were announced abruptly, affecting flights heading to major cities like Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Cochin, Kolkata, Bangalore, Delhi, and Indore.
FLY91 has stepped in to offer extra flights between Hyderabad and Goa over the following three days to alleviate travel challenges, while the DGCA provided temporary operational relief to IndiGo amid safety concerns raised by the Airlines' Pilots Association India regarding pilot duty relaxations.
