On Sunday, a successful engine trial was conducted on the 30-kilometre Beed-Wadwani rail line, a significant step towards commencing regular train services.
An official announced that train trial runs are scheduled for December 10 and 11. Originally set for Saturday, the slow-speed engine trial commenced a day later at 12 noon from Beed, reaching Wadwani within an hour.
Should high-speed train trials prove successful, the much-anticipated regular services between Beed, Wadwani, and Ahilyanagar could commence shortly thereafter.
