Technical Glitch Halts Mumbai Metro: Commuters Frustrated

On Sunday evening, metro rail services on lines 2A and 7 in Mumbai's western region faced disruptions due to a technical issue, leading to delays and frustrations among passengers.

The affected lines, Metro 2A and Metro 7, serve commuters between Dahisar East, Andheri West, and Gundavali. Commuters reported that services were halted for nearly an hour, starting post 6 pm. Although services resumed, operations were slow.

The disruption was confirmed by Maha Mumbai Metro Private Limited (MMRPL), which updated passengers that both lines experienced delays. MMRPL expressed regret for the inconvenience and assured quick efforts to restore speedier services. MMMOCL, the operating body, runs daily operations on these lines, serving thousands of commuters with varying service frequencies depending on the time of day.
