The Gujarat cabinet has given the green light to a regional economic master plan, designed to drive equitable growth throughout the state's 33 districts. Aligned with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of a developed India by the 100th anniversary of independence in 2047, the plan signifies a pivotal commitment by the state government.
Championed by Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, the initiative focuses on fostering balanced development across six key economic regions. According to government spokesperson Jitubhai Vaghani, the plan will serve as a crucial blueprint for propelling inclusive economic progress within Gujarat. Integral to this strategy is GRIT's role in offering data-driven guidance for successful plan execution.
To ensure effective plan implementation, high-ranking coordinators have been appointed for each region. These officials will act as vital links between government departments, industry stakeholders, and local administrations, facilitating seamless collaboration and timely project completion. This master plan positions Gujarat to realize its 'Developed Gujarat @ 2047' vision.
