Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann's overseas tour to Japan and South Korea has catalyzed what could be a major transformation for the state's industrial landscape. Mann reports that these visits have generated overwhelming responses from investors interested in developing Punjab as a burgeoning hub for industry and innovation.
During the trip, the Chief Minister presented Punjab as a prime location for investment ahead of the 6th Progressive Punjab Investors' Summit, scheduled for March 2026 in Mohali. Meetings with leading corporations from both nations explored opportunities across electrical vehicle mobility, industrial automation, clean energy, and digital governance solutions.
The trade mission also saw commitments from major companies, with several non-binding MoUs signed to enhance foreign investment. As an outcome, the visits promise not only to attract investments but also to create numerous employment opportunities in the state, solidifying Punjab's position on a high-growth trajectory.
