DB Corp Ltd announced a 19.2% decline in consolidated net profit for the third quarter, totaling Rs 95.5 crore, due in part to reduced revenue and a high base effect from last year's report.
The media company, known for publications like Dainik Bhaskar, experienced a dip in consolidated revenue from Rs 642.65 crore to Rs 605.27 crore year-on-year. Meanwhile, total expenses rose to Rs 500.57 crore, up from Rs 495.59 crore, contributing to the profit slump.
Several factors, including a shift of festive spending from Q3 to Q2 and election-related advertising in the previous year, impacted the results. Despite these challenges, Managing Director Sudhir Agarwal expressed confidence in future growth, citing the potential influence of the forthcoming Union Budget and government policy measures.
