Allied Blenders and Distillers announced on Friday its board's approval of the acquisition of a non-operational distillery and bottling facility in Uttar Pradesh. The assets, including land and machinery, were purchased for Rs 70 crore from National Industrial Corporation. This strategic acquisition marks a significant step for the company.

The company plans to invest an additional Rs 40 crore into the facility, particularly for upgrades and setting up a bottling unit. This investment aims to boost Allied Blenders' Indian-made foreign liquor (IMFL) bottling capacity in the region and foster greater integration capabilities.

Strategically located in Moradabad, the facility offers ample space for future capacity expansions. Allied Blenders anticipates the transaction to conclude by July 31, 2026, with upgrades completed within 12 months post-acquisition.
