In a significant crackdown on railway safety offenses, over 700 individuals were arrested under the Chakradharpur division of the South Eastern Railway between July 2025 and the present, officials announced.
Authorities revealed that a total of 717 persons faced arrest due to various violations of the Railways Act, reflecting a strong stance on maintaining railway integrity.
The majority of offenses comprised 540 arrests related to 'unnecessary Alarm Chain Pulling,' alongside 40 cases of 'signal damage,' with additional charges of theft concerning signalling materials.
