Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday hailed India's rapid journey towards becoming the world's third-largest economy, attributing it to clear policies and robust leadership under Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Speaking after Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented the Union Budget for 2026-27, Adityanath highlighted the visible impact on the ground over the past 11 years.
He stressed that key allocations in the Budget, like Rs 10,000 crore for MSMEs and Rs 12.20-lakh crore for infrastructure, will significantly benefit UP. The state, with its vast MSME base and emerging logistics hub, is set to leverage these initiatives. The focus is also on enhancing the 'One District One Product' scheme and boosting urban standards.
Adityanath outlined UP's strides in biopharma, electronics manufacturing, and defense sectors, with strategic investments bolstering its position as a manufacturing powerhouse. The Budget promises to enhance tourism by developing archaeological sites and training guides, while health initiatives aim to establish a medical college in each district, promoting medical tourism.
