In an effort to improve air quality, the Delhi Transport Department has issued a public notice targeting End-of-Life Vehicles. The department warns that any diesel vehicle over 10 years old and petrol vehicle over 15 years old will be scrapped without further notice if found parked or plying in the city.
Vehicle owners are strongly advised to obtain a No Objection Certificate (NOC) to move their End-of-Life Vehicles out of Delhi. This enforcement is part of a broader strategy to adhere to stringent air pollution norms and enhance the city's environmental health.
Transport department officials indicate that a new enforcement drive is imminent to rid Delhi of its outdated, polluting vehicles, stressing the urgency to comply with these regulations aimed at curbing air pollution.
