In a landmark decision, the White House announced a new reciprocal trade agreement with Indonesia during President Prabowo Subianto's visit to Washington. This agreement will see Indonesia remove tariffs on 99% of American imports while the US maintains a 19% tariff on most Indonesian goods.

Prabowo confirmed significant deals totaling USD 38.4 billion, covering US essential commodities like soybeans, corn, and wheat. Both countries aim to collaborate on critical minerals, a strategic maneuver against China's supply-chain dominion.

Further strengthening ties, Indonesia committed troops to the Gaza stabilization force at the Board of Peace meeting. President Trump praised the pledge, marking Indonesia's pivotal role in postwar reconstruction efforts.
