Delhi Metro Expands: New Corridors Open, More Routes in Pipeline
The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation inaugurated two new corridors with services starting at 3 pm after opening by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The new sections are part of the Pink and Magenta Lines. Additionally, Modi laid the foundation for three new Metro lines to enhance connectivity in Delhi.

On Sunday, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation launched services on two newly inaugurated corridors, starting at 3 pm. This follows their official opening by Prime Minister Narendra Modi earlier in the day.
The newly opened stretches include the 12.3 km Pink Line section between Majlis Park and Maujpur Babarpur, and the 9.9 km Magenta Line connecting Deepali Chowk to Majlis Park. These corridors aim to improve connectivity for residents across various areas such as Burari, Jagatpur-Wazirabad, and Madhuban Chowk, among others.
In addition to these openings, the Prime Minister laid the groundwork for three additional Metro lines under Phase V-A of the project. Set to improve transit across key city points, the proposed routes include connections from R K Ashram Marg to Indraprastha, Aerocity to Indira Gandhi Airport Terminal-1, and Tughlakabad to Kalindi Kunj.
