The Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO) is calling on the government to prioritize the allocation of LPG and natural gas to export-focused manufacturing sectors. According to FIEO President S C Ralhan, disruptions in fuel supply pose a threat to maintaining production schedules.
Ralhan has addressed this concern in a letter to the commerce and industry ministry, highlighting the challenges faced by manufacturing exporters. The ongoing West Asia crisis has disrupted energy supplies across several nations, prompting the government to adjust its priority order for domestic natural gas allocation.
FIEO emphasizes that ensuring uninterrupted fuel supply is essential for export-oriented units to remain competitive globally, especially against rivals from China and East Asian countries. A stable fuel supply would support production commitments and bolster international confidence in India as a dependable sourcing hub.
