Tata Group Chairman Natarajan Chandrasekaran has received an honorary Knighthood from the British government, acknowledging his exceptional efforts in bolstering business connections between India and the UK. The prestigious title of 'Knight Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (KBE)' was awarded during a ceremony at the British High Commissioner's residence.
The Tata Group, a major investor in the UK, operates across automotive, steel, technology, and consumer sectors, playing a crucial role in supporting advanced manufacturing and the clean technology transition. Chandrasekaran's leadership has been vital in nurturing UK-India business relations, with Tata Group being a significant employer in the UK, boasting 19 subsidiaries.
The honorary knighthood, presented by Lindy Cameron on behalf of King Charles III, reflects Chandrasekaran's impact on global business.
