A devastating fire broke out at an auto parts factory in Daejeon, South Korea, injuring at least 53 individuals, with 24 in serious condition. Authorities remain vigilant as they continue the search for 14 who were reportedly inside the factory when the blaze erupted.

The fire, reported around 1.17 pm, quickly enveloped the facility, with the potential cause yet to be determined. Eyewitnesses noted an explosion preceding the engulfing flames, which spewed dense gray smoke into the air. Due to structural concerns, firefighters couldn't enter the factory, redirecting efforts to protect nearby buildings and eliminate hazards from stored chemicals.

In response, South Korea's President Lee Jae Myung ordered an extensive mobilization of emergency resources to tackle the fire and aid in rescue efforts. Current operations involve over 250 personnel and more than 100 units of firetrucks and equipment actively working to contain the inferno and locate the missing individuals.
