Commercial vehicle giant Ashok Leyland announced a notable 5% growth in total sales for March 2026, achieving a figure of 25,381 units compared to 24,060 units in March 2025. The company's domestic sales improved by the same margin, reaching 23,743 units as opposed to the 22,510 units reported the previous year.
Medium and heavy commercial vehicle sales in the domestic market showed a modest 1% increase, recording 16,238 units versus 16,082 units in the corresponding month of the prior year. This reflects a steady demand in this segment, according to Ashok Leyland's statement.
Meanwhile, the light commercial vehicle sector experienced significant growth, with sales totaling 7,505 units, a substantial rise from the 6,428 units sold during the equivalent period in the previous year.
