India's exports have maintained robust growth in the face of substantial global challenges, according to a senior official from the commerce ministry.

The official stated that despite geopolitical turmoil, such as the ongoing Ukraine and Iran conflicts, the nation's merchandise exports have shown resilience. This development is echoed by the cumulative export growth of 1.84% from April to February 2025-26, reaching USD 402.93 billion.

However, the country's trade deficit widened due to imports rising by 8.53% to USD 713.53 billion during the same period. The comprehensive 2025-26 fiscal year data will be released on April 15.
