Mistry contested the appointments of Venu Srinivasan and Vijay Singh, citing a lack of adherence to the trust's specific criteria laid out in its founding deed. This includes mandatory conditions such as practicing the Parsi Zoroastrian faith and meeting residency requirements in Mumbai.
