Authorities have disrupted a fraudulent operation exploiting the Mudra scheme, culminating in a staggering Rs 1.3 crore GST Input Tax Credit scam.

Police have detained Ravindra Giri, 35, from Lakhimpur Kheri, who allegedly orchestrated the scam by collecting Aadhaar and PAN details under false pretenses.

Investigations revealed Giri used these details to procure SIM cards, establish bogus GST firms, and execute the elaborate fraud. With further arrests anticipated, police are continuing their inquiries into the illicit network.
