Odisha's Golden Decade: A Vision for Youth Empowerment
Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi unveiled plans to usher in a 'golden age' for the state's youth over the next decade. With investment proposals worth Rs 20 lakh crore, the focus is on creating local employment, fostering clean governance, and empowering young entrepreneurs across various sectors.

Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi announced an ambitious vision for the state's youth at the Business Eminence Awards 2026, aiming to transform the next decade into a golden era.
Majhi revealed that within two years, investment proposals totaling Rs 20 lakh crore have been received. Industrial projects worth Rs 2.80 lakh crore are now in motion, set to generate employment for over 2 lakh people. The Chief Minister credited Odisha's stability and clean governance for attracting national and international investors, especially in sectors like semiconductors, electronics, and green energy.
Majhi's primary goal is to empower the youth by providing ample opportunities within the state. He emphasized that Odia youngsters will gain skills and employment locally, thus becoming job providers themselves. Special incentives are being offered to MSMEs, women entrepreneurs, and startups to ensure development reaches every corner of Odisha.
