In an unprecedented achievement, Punjab has marked its highest monthly Goods and Services Tax (GST) collection with Rs 2,987.38 crore in April, as announced by Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema.
This remarkable feat signifies a net GST growth of 70.70% year-on-year, surpassing national averages and leading all states in growth metrics.
Strengthened compliance and enforcement actions, including intensive data analytics and field inspections, have propelled Punjab's revenue to new heights, demonstrating the government's commitment to a robust and equitable taxation system.
