Uttar Pradesh Set for Rail Revolution: Major Multi-Crore Projects Approved

Uttar Pradesh is on the track to a rail revolution following the approval of major railway projects by the Centre. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath applauded the move, highlighting its prospects for boosting development.
The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, sanctioned projects worth Rs 23,437 crore. These developments, covering 19 districts across Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana, will expand the rail network by approximately 900 km.
The initiatives, including critical multi-tracking lines, are set to enhance regional connectivity and improve logistics efficiency. Increased freight capacity is expected to fuel economic activity, reduce costs, and contribute to sustainable growth in Uttar Pradesh. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw emphasized their role in improving operational efficiency on high-density routes.
