Tangled Tracks: Train Disruption on Diva-Panvel-Roha Route

Train services on the Diva-Panvel-Roha route were interrupted for two hours due to a goods train pantograph entangling with the overhead equipment. This affected several passenger trains, including the Tejas Express. Services resumed after the overhead equipment was fixed.

Train services on the Diva-Panvel-Roha route were disrupted Tuesday night when a goods train pantograph became ensnared in the overhead equipment (OHE), officials reported.

The incident occurred between Panvel and Kalamboli stations around 9 pm, leading to the shutdown of power supply to the Up line OHE for safety reasons at 9.05 pm.

This affected multiple trains, including the Mumbai CSMT-Madgaon Tejas Express and Mandovi Express. The OHE was repaired and operations resumed at 10.50 pm.
