Andhra Pradesh's Ambitious Job Creation Through MSME Empowerment

Andhra Pradesh's IT Minister, Nara Lokesh, highlights the pivotal role of MSMEs in creating 20 lakh jobs in the state. He announces plans for investment and development clusters, aiming to enhance economic growth and employment. Major corporations like Google and ArcelorMittal are investing in the region.

Nara Lokesh, Andhra Pradesh IT Minister, underscores the critical role played by Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the state's goal of creating 20 lakh jobs. Lokesh conveyed this at a seminar on SME IPOs, asserting MSMEs' importance in achieving Andhra Pradesh's ambitious economic vision.

He emphasized the state's emergence as a major investment destination, with agreements for nearly 800 projects worth Rs 23 lakh crore, indicating a potential for 24 lakh new job opportunities. Notable companies like Google, ArcelorMittal, and TCS are investing heavily, while plans for developing 22 industry clusters are underway to bolster specific sectors.

The government is adopting a 'Speed of Doing Business' approach to simplify processes and nurture MSME growth. Lokesh challenged the MSME department to list 100 Andhra companies on the NSE in three months, supporting global competitiveness among local businesses.
