An Air India plane traveling from Delhi to San Francisco was forced to return after a technical glitch emerged mid-flight. The Boeing 777-300ER, carrying approximately 230 passengers, was in Chinese airspace when it began diverting back to Delhi for safety reasons.

Air India indicated that the flight returned due to a problem with the Traffic Alert and Collision Avoidance System, a critical component for maintaining safe distances between aircraft. Following a safe landing in Delhi, the airline stated the plane would undergo a thorough technical check.

The airline expressed regret for the inconvenience caused and is diligently working to provide alternative flights for stranded passengers, offering refreshments, lodging, and rescheduling options to assist them.
