Seven people lost their lives and two were injured in a tragic accident in western Hungary early Friday morning. The incident occurred when a minibus collided with a stationary truck on the M1 highway, near Gyor, police reported.
The crash, which involved a malfunctioning truck idled by traffic from a previous accident, resulted in severe casualties. The earlier accident involved a truck colliding with a construction vehicle, causing one fatality and subsequent congestion.
Hungarian Prime Minister Peter Magyar expressed his condolences to the victims' families, revealing that all those who died were foreign nationals. The minibus and truck both bore Moldovan license plates, although police have yet to confirm the nationalities of the deceased.
