Globsyn Business School (GBS), uniquely positioned as India's only 'Corporate B-School' and ranked among the Top 5 B-Schools in Eastern India, has tied up with the Malaysia University of Science and Technology (MUST). MUST was set up by the Malaysian government in 1997 in collaboration with MIT and rated 5 Star for Teaching and Employability by the prestigious QS University World Rating, to launch for the first time in India, a full-time postgraduate degree program to be executed and delivered entirely in Kolkata – MBA in International Business.
This is the first of the many postgraduate programs that GBS and MUST plan to jointly introduce for the students of the country, to allow them access to higher education of global standards. This collaboration between GBS and MUST, was marked by the signing of the Memorandum of Agreement between Bikram Dasgupta (Founder and Executive Chairman, Globsyn Group) and Prof (Dr) Premkumar Rajagopal (President, MUST), in the company of Rahul Dasgupta (Director, GBS) and Thanga Thurai Vengadasalam (Director, Centre for Professional Development and International Affiliations, MUST) on March 12, 2019.
Several revered faculty members, scholars and esteemed senior personnel representing a cross-section of backgrounds and disciplines, from across both the academic institutions, came together to grace this occasion. "In its quest for continuous innovation in management education, Globsyn Business School has always exposed the students to the most innovative learning pedagogy, provided the best-in-class infrastructure, allowed them learning opportunities beyond education and groomed them to be industry-relevant managers ready to take on the challenges of the corporate world.
With industry transcending geographical borders and the need for managers for the global knowledge economy becoming more imperative, the focus of Globsyn Business School in the coming years would be to provide to the students of the country education of global standards. Our partnership with Malaysia University of Science and Technology is a step forward in that direction", said Bikram Dasgupta on the occasion.
Management education, like every other education domain in this country, is under tremendous pressure from the industry to stay relevant in today's internet-dominated economy and a globally competitive market. This unique up-market MBA in International Business program from GBS and MUST promises to bridge this supply-demand gap and has been designed with strong global biases, aimed at providing students with a truly global management education experience.
"In order to meet the growing demand for global professionals, the MBA program that we bring to you has been carefully designed to include key pillars of knowledge and competencies that will take managers from being good to great. A special feature of the program is that it is fully accredited by the Malaysian government and it has been evaluated by the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) UK as meeting its rigorous standards. This will allow candidates to achieve dual degree award with greater global impact. All programs are approved by the Ministry of Higher Education in Malaysia and we also have the approval of the Association of Indian Universities", said Prof (Dr) Premkumar Rajagopal.
Business corporations today require global business managers who can represent the need for an integrated worldwide strategy and more efficient standardized products. This dual degree program is designed for the quintessential high-flier, those who harbour global ambitions and see themselves as an integral part of a global corporate environment, irrespective of the geography that they would work in.
"Executed entirely in Kolkata, this program will be delivered by leading faculty from GBS and MUST, where the students would not only be exposed to dedicated sessions covering global case studies but will also get to execute projects in real time. Globsyn with its strong background in Management education, having already been acknowledged by bodies like AICTE, NBA and AIU for the quality of education delivered through its other programs, takes a leap forward with this partnership, towards becoming an edifice for global management education", said Rahul Dasgupta, Director, Globsyn Business School. "I would like to welcome each and every candidate and am sure that you will be well taken care of by our partner, Globsyn Business School, who has shown commitment for excellence from the start", concluded Prof (Dr) Rajagopal.
