Dabur India Ltd shares tumble after company posts 6 pct loss in Q4 net profit

Shares of Dabur India Ltd declined nearly 4 per cent Thursday after the company reported a 6.46 per cent fall in consolidated net profit for the fourth quarter ended March 2019. The scrip dropped 3.91 per cent to close at Rs 382.45 on the BSE. During the day, it declined 5.27 per cent to Rs 377. At the NSE, shares fell by 3.84 per cent to close at Rs 382.80. In terms of volume, 4.31 lakh shares were traded on the BSE during the day, while over one crore shares changed hands on the NSE.

The homegrown FMCG major Thursday reported a fall of 6.46 per cent in consolidated net profit at Rs 371.49 crore for the March quarter. It had posted a net profit of Rs 397.18 crore in the January-March quarter a year ago, Dabur India said in a BSE filing. The company's total income for the January-March quarter stood at Rs 2,194.25 crore, a rise of 4.18 per cent over Rs 2,106.15 crore reported in the year-ago period.
