Zee launches L&D programme for front-line managers

Zee Entertainment Enterprises has announced an initiative to build capabilities in front-line managers in association with KPMG. The new programme called Embark is designed by KPMG and will focus on building front-line managerial capabilities, both behavioural and functional, a release said Tuesday.

Managers are culture carriers, performance multipliers, risk mitigators and brand custodians of any company. With Embark, we aim to offer a holistic learning programme for our front line managers that will empower them with an innovative and advanced working style and technical expertise, the company said. ************ EESL installs over 5 lakh smart meters Energy Efficiency Services (EESL), a joint venture of four public sector enterprises under the Union power ministry said over 5 lakh smart meters have been installed across Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Haryana, Bihar and Andhra, under the smart meter national programme.

The smart meters operational in these states aim to enhance consumer convenience and rationalize electricity consumption, the company said in a statement. The smart meter technology is critical to the ongoing power sector reforms and the programme aims to retrofit 25 crore conventional meters with smart variants will lead to 80 -100 per cent improvement in billing efficiency.

************ Talent firm Mercer-Mettl to expand global footprint Talent assessment firm Mercer| Mettl is planning to tap international markets including the Middle East, Indonesia, the US and Latin America on the back of the capital raised post Mettl's acquisition by Mercer. The firm also plans to enrich its product portfolio by offering services across entire employee lifecyle including hiring, L&D, engagement and leadership development, it said.
