Assocham opens office in Jammu

Assocham on Friday opened its office in Jammu, seeking to launch investment initiatives in Jammu and Kashmir, focussing on tourism and industrial development. The office was inaugurated by J&K Lieutenant Governor Girish Chandra Murmu, the Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry (Assocham) stated.

Inaugurating the office, Murmu said his government is keen on organising high-level investment summits on industry and tourism. Exhorting industry to look for greater investment opportunities in the state, Murmu said efforts would be made to ensure a grand success of the planned industry and investment summits.

He said the youth of J&K are quite enthusiastic about various start-up initiatives of the government in partnership with industry organisations.
