Chennai, Mar 17 (PTI): Avtar Group, a city-based leader in diversity and inclusiveness consulting, on Tuesday said it has unveiled Flexcurity to provide solutions for organisations implementing the 'Work From Home' facility to its employees in the wake of coronavirus outbreak. Flexcurity is a suite of assessments and algorithms created by Avtar that proposes to untangle the conundrum of businesses and teams which are unprepared for remote workforce management, a press release said.

"Flexcurity was developed in response to a need of organisations that wanted remote working as a work-life integration initiative," Avtar Group founder-president Saundarya Rajesh said. According to the release, Avtar said more than 58 per cent of organisations are unprepared to deal with remote working without a sizeable dip in revenue.

The assessment model has been updated and modified to suit a range of jobs and disciplines that have emerged as a two- step process of flexidizing and unbundling jobs. Flexcurity is an extended assessment that allows decision- makers even in small business units and micro, small and medium enterprises to determine jobs that can be performed 100 per cent as effectively as from the office.

The solution also suggests which combination of remote working would best suite a particular job. While the sectors such as technology, banking and financial services are not location-specific and benefit from advantages of work from home, sectors like manufacturing and pharmaceuticals would find it hard to employ flexibility.

"Certain jobs demand physical presence of an employee will experience loss of productivity and this could definitely become a cause of concern", she added..
