Group of businessmen from J&K meet HM Amit Shah

A group of businessmen from Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday met Union Home Minister Amit Shah and is believed to have discussed ways to further create opportunities for entrepreneurs from the Union Territory, officials said. Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and Minister of State for PMO Jitendra Singh were present during the meeting held at the Parliament House complex.
"Had extensive interaction with representatives of different sectors from Jammu & Kashmir in presence of Finance Minister @nsitharam ji and MoS PMO @DrJitendraSingh ji. Modi government is working relentlessly to ensure development and lasting peace in the region (sic)," Shah tweeted. Loans to manufacturers, artisans, industry incentives and a few other issues were discussed so that more business opportunities could be created in Jammu and Kashmir, according to an official.
Those who attended the meeting included Kashmir Chamber Commerce and Industries president Sheikh Ashiq Ahmad, Kashmir Trade and Manufacturers Federation representative Farhaan Kitab, Kashmir Economic Alliance chairman Iqbal Trumboo, among others, the official added.
