NEET Paper Leak: Bihar Police EOU Arrests Five More Suspects, Total at 18

Bihar Police's Economic Offences Unit intensified its investigation into the NEET paper leak case by arresting five new suspects, raising the total number apprehended to 18. The NEET paper leak scandal, which surfaced on May 5, involved multiple interstate networks and has now been transferred to the CBI for further probing.

The Economic Offences Unit (EOU) of Bihar Police escalated its probe into the NEET 'paper leak' case, bringing the total number of apprehensions to 18 by arresting five more suspects on Sunday.

This follows a CBI-initiated First Information Report (FIR), prompted by claims of irregularities in the NEET-UG exam conducted on May 5, and subsequent nationwide protests from students.

Police identified the five arrested individuals as Baldev Kumar, Mukesh Kumar, Panku Kumar, Rajeev Kumar, and Paramjeet Singh, all residents of Nalanda. Sources report that Baldev Kumar, linked to the Sanjeev Kumar alias Lutan Mukhiya gang, received leaked answers in PDF format a day before the exam.
