Puducherry Collector A Kulothungan paid a surprise visit to a government higher secondary school in Thavalakuppam village in the union territory on Tuesday.

He reviewed the attendance register and issued strict instructions to the head of the school to address staff absences or late arrivals, according to a statement.

The Collector also visited classrooms, interacting with children and even teaching some subjects himself. He urged the students to approach him directly with any grievances. Additionally, Kulothungan inspected ongoing construction work at the school, emphasizing the need for speedy completion.
