The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) unveiled new security protocols on Tuesday to safeguard the integrity of the Teachers Recruitment Exam (TRE-3), commencing on July 19.
Among the measures are the use of multiple sets of question papers, bar-coded e-admit cards, and the installation of jammers at all 400 examination venues. Previously, the TRE-3 on March 15 was voided due to a paper leak.
BPSC Chairman Parmar Ravi Manubhai emphasized the significance of these changes at a press conference, noting that the updated protocols aim to eliminate paper leaks and other fraudulent activities. The exam, involving approximately 6 lakh candidates, will span from July 19 to 22 across 27 districts.
To maintain exam integrity, multiple sets of question papers have been prepared, with the final selection occurring just hours before the exam. District Magistrates will be informed of the chosen set at around 9 am on exam day. Additionally, paper transportation will be closely monitored using GPS-enabled trucks accompanied by senior officials.
Jammers will inhibit unfair means during the exams, and around 10,000 CCTV cameras will ensure constant surveillance, managed by a central hub at the BPSC office. Candidates failing fingerprint or facial recognition matches will face legal consequences, and those caught cheating will be banned from future BPSC exams.
