This initiative aims to empower approximately 25 lakh women across India, equipping them with the necessary skills, knowledge, and resources to start and grow successful businesses. The program will conclude with a grand finale, where the top 50 contestants will present their business ideas to a distinguished jury. Britannia Industries will provide financial grants of Rs 10 lakh each to 10 of the most successful contestants.
''We have achieved significant progress in entrepreneurship through NIESBUD and special programs with various ministries,'' said Atul Kumar Tiwari, Secretary, Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship. Tiwari also mentioned close collaborations with corporates and government departments to provide skill training to women's self-help groups, helping them organize into various business entities.
