Delhi University Attracts 1.80 Lakh Applicants for 2024-25 UG Admissions in Phase Two of CSAS
Delhi University received over 1.80 lakh applications for the 2024-25 undergraduate programmes in phase two of the Common Seat Allotment System (CSAS). Over 2.47 lakh students have registered, with applicants showing a preference for courses like B.com, English Hons, and Political Science Hons. The first allotment list will be released on August 16.

Delhi University has attracted over 1.80 lakh applications for its undergraduate programmes for the 2024-25 academic year, as revealed in phase two of the Common Seat Allotment System (CSAS). An official confirmed that students have submitted their programme and college preferences, with the portal closing at 11.59 pm.
So far, a total of 2.47 lakh students have registered for UG admissions, with 1,80,109 students filling their preferences. Notably, the B.com course remains the most sought-after programme among applicants, followed closely by English Hons, Political Science Hons, History Hons, Psychology Hons, and Economics Hons. Hanit Gandhi, dean of the admission branch, provided these insights.
The university had earlier declared that students' preferences would be automatically locked at midnight if they failed to do so. The first admission allotment list is set to be published on August 16. The CSAS portal, which opened on May 28, has offered admissions for 79 programmes across 69 colleges, featuring 183 combinations in the BA programme alone for 71,000 seats.
