Speaking at a Teachers' Day event at a Delhi University college, Birla stressed the indispensable role of educational institutions in shaping the nation's future. He recognized teachers not only for imparting education but also for shaping the personality, beliefs, and skills of future generations.
Birla noted that today's rapid world changes elevate the importance of teachers in preparing youth for future challenges. He attributed India's development to the historical emphasis on education, stating that Indian youth currently lead in numerous fields globally.
