Maharashtra Government Faces Heat Over Delayed School Uniforms

Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Amabadas Danve has accused the Maharashtra government of failing to provide school uniforms to 45 lakh eligible students by the deadline under the 'One State One Uniform' policy. He claimed only 24 lakh students received subpar uniforms, alleging corruption in the process.

According to Danve, only 24 lakh students received uniforms, and those distributed were of poor quality. He criticized state school education minister Deepak Kesarkar, stating that the situation has turned students into 'a laboratory' of corruption.

In a social media post, Danve shared an image of a student wearing a poorly stitched uniform, asking if this was a mockery of students. He further alleged that even school uniforms have not escaped government corruption.
