Amit Kumar, a Class-10 student, succumbed to his injuries while under medical care. His classmate is now under police detention for the alleged crime, Superintendent of Police Raushan Kumar confirmed.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the conflict erupted on Thursday inside the Sasaram examination center. As Amit and Sanjit Kumar were returning from the center, a classmate allegedly confronted them and opened fire. The police responded swiftly, transporting the injured students to a local hospital where Amit later died, while Sanjit remains stable. The motivation for the shooting remains unclear as investigations continue.
