Arunachal Pradesh's Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Minister Nyato Dukam has emphasized the need to modernize teaching methods at the state's Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) to meet industry demands. Speaking at the inauguration of a five-day Training of Trainers (ToT) program, organized in collaboration with CSTARI and NSTI, he highlighted the importance of skills in emerging technologies and the state's commitment to a robust skilling ecosystem.
The minister praised the role of CSTARI and NSTI in providing relevant training that boosts ITI instructors' employability, contributing significantly to economic growth in Arunachal Pradesh. He urged instructors to encourage trainees toward self-employment opportunities instead of depending solely on government jobs.
State Commissioner Saugat Biswas noted the innovative efforts in transforming traditional skilling methods into modern practices. Acknowledging CSTARI's advanced programs, he expressed gratitude for their enhancement of vocational education in the region. He cited measures such as sending ITI instructors to CSTARI for employability training and organizing management training for group instructors as pivotal steps forward.
