An incident of shocking violence unfolded in Maharashtra's Jalna district, where an eight-year-old boy was allegedly strangled to death by two fellow students at a residential school. Police reported the tragedy on Wednesday, highlighting a disturbing turn of events following an altercation.

The young victim attended a government-aided English school for tribal children in Bhokardan tehsil. Authorities found the child dead on Tuesday morning. District Superintendent of Police Ajaykumar Bansal revealed that the physical altercation escalated when the two minors, aged 8 and 14, allegedly strangled the victim with a rope while he slept.

The boys had reportedly clashed over a trivial matter on Monday evening, which later escalated. After dining, the victim retired to the school dormitory, where the accused seized the opportunity to commit the act. Following the incident, the school staff rushed the boy to the hospital, where he was declared dead. Strangulation marks were observed, confirming the gruesome act.
