Her speech highlighted India's path toward becoming a technological superpower, stressing innovation driven by compassion.
The President emphasized the significance of using technology to confront pressing global challenges like climate change and social inequality. She appealed to students to focus on startups and innovation, and outlined the importance of an interdisciplinary approach to education at IIT-ISM for fostering creative solutions.
Murmu acknowledged IIT-ISM's century-long legacy and its crucial role in India's technological and social development. The convocation, marking 100 years of the institute's dedication to nation-building, saw 1,880 degrees awarded, spotlighting the institute's ongoing commitment to producing leaders in engineering, innovation, and compassionate professionalism.
