The Haryana government is setting up a State Revenue Training Institute aimed at enhancing the skills of revenue officials. This is part of a larger initiative announced by Financial Commissioner Sumita Misra to modernize agricultural data management and strengthen land records.

The institute is proposed to occupy approximately 20 acres, serving as a hub for capacity building. Agristack-based crop surveys and farmer registries will be rolled out in the next agricultural season. Pilot projects are being undertaken for the initiative, starting with master training sessions for officials.

In parallel, Misra outlined plans for pilot census operations in Panchkula, Hisar, and Faridabad, set to commence in 2025. This will eventually culminate in the nationwide census in 2027, with City Magistrates and Deputy Commissioners designated as key census officials.
