UP govt reschedules Guru Tegh Bahadur martyrdom day holiday to Nov 25

The Uttar Pradesh government has revised the date of the gazetted holiday declared on the occasion of Guru Tegh Bahadur's martyrdom day for the year 2025, officials said on Thursday.
According to an official release, the holiday, earlier scheduled for November 24, 2025, has now been rescheduled to November 25, 2025 (Tuesday).
The statement said the change has been made by amending the holiday list. The modified date will now be effective for all government offices across Uttar Pradesh.
Principal Secretary (General Administration) Manish Chauhan, in his order, stated that the revision was approved after due consideration at the government level, and the earlier order stands amended to this extent.
With the new directive, November 25, 2025, will be observed as a holiday across the state under the executive order category, the release added.
