Igniting Young Minds: Dr. Nilesh M Desai Inspires Students in Mau

Dr. Nilesh M Desai, Director of Ahmedabad's Space Application Centre, inspired 1,500 students in Mau, UP. He highlighted the importance of scientific thinking for India's global leadership, inaugurated a Space and STEM Lab at Dharauli Primary School, and addressed queries on space and ISRO's future missions.

In a remarkable engagement aimed at inspiring young minds, Dr. Nilesh M Desai, Director of the Ahmedabad-based Space Application Centre, addressed around 1,500 school students at Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar Stadium in Mau, Uttar Pradesh. He emphasised the critical role of scientific thinking in elevating India to a global leadership position.

With SAC being a key division of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), it specialises in creating space-borne instruments and developing space technology applications that benefit society. Dr. Desai also inaugurated the Space and STEM Laboratory at Dharauli Primary School, fostering an enthusiasm for science and technology among students.

The event highlighted the district's commitment to nurturing scientific temperament, featuring space research centres across Mau. In a recent initiative, 13 students had visited SAC in Gujarat, where they received insights from senior scientists and learned about artificial satellites and sensors.
