In a significant operation, the Delhi Police's Crime Branch has successfully dismantled a counterfeit textbook network, leading to the arrest of three individuals and the seizure of nearly 45,000 fake NCERT books and printing materials worth approximately Rs 2 crore.

The Anti-Robbery and Snatching Cell executed a series of raids, disrupting an illegal trade that spanned multiple states and posed a threat to the education system. Over 44,862 counterfeit textbooks and advanced printing equipment were confiscated in Delhi and Ghaziabad.

Identified as key figures, Sumit, Vinod Jain, and Kanishq were apprehended for their roles in the operation. The crackdown followed intelligence about a godown in Daryaganj used for storing fake textbooks. Legal measures are underway to protect intellectual property rights and uphold educational standards.
